Hina Patel
Founder and CEO
Hina is the founder and CEO of Shakti Hotel Group. With over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, her strategic vision for the company comes from her hard work and dedication to each guest.
Hina has served on various committees and advisory boards at Choice and Whydham, she also is a Certified Hotel Administrator. After attending UNC in Charlotte Hina and her family moved to Atlanta GA in 1997. There she joined the family hotel business while working for Bank of America.
In 2003 she jumped right into the hotel business with the acquisition and management of her own property. Hina is very activate in the local community and involved with various charity organizations.
Nimesh Patel
CFO
Nimesh began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1995, He is a Certified Public Accountant and is the CFO at Shakti Hotel Group. He is an expert in developing and implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency. Nimesh is committed to delivering financial information so that decisions can be made effectively and timely.
Nimesh has a strong background in financial/capital planning, tracking cash flow, portfolio management, and procurement. He has strong relationships with several financial institutions given his track record and success in small business. He is a valuable asset to the team and critical to its growth strategy moving forward.
Crystal Stevenson
VP of Operations
Crystal is the VP of operations for Shakti Hotel Group. Bringing 27 years of hospitality experience, she has worked closely with brands such as Hilton, Marriott, IHG, and Choice Hotels in both operations and sales.
She provides strategic, process, and cultural leadership to maximize hotel performance and growth.
Prior to joining the organization in 2020,
Crystal has had numerous leadership positions that provided support beyond property level across many brands such as regional director of operations, director of new hotel openings, task force management, and director of hotel performance.
Olivia Espinosa
Corporate Revenue Manager
Olivia joined the hospitality industry straight out of school, and grew into management positions under Shakti Hotel Group. She is now a certified revenue manager and has a love for seeking out new revenue opportunities and maximizing on them.
Olivia works closely with hotel teams to truly understand their unique markets' demand and guest base which has been key in implementing optimal revenue strategies.
Jeff Orr
Accounting Manager
Jeff has over 8 years of experience in the accounting industry. He is a graduate of University of Georgia and he specializes in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting. Jeff has been at Shakti for over 6 years.
Marty Wheeler
Operations Manager
Marty started his hospitality career as a front desk clerk, his drive for customer satisfaction has positioned him well to assist in operations. He continues to support properties in ensuring streamline procedures and meet various franchise requirements. He also provides operational support for Shakti.
Sherita Dunbar
Human Resources Manager
Sherita started as a guest services representative and has moved into human resources. She plays an integral role in Shakti's success as her primary role is employee relations and upholding our culture. She provides coaching and guidance to our property leaders navigating challenging situations, as well as assisting in all aspects of human resources.
Kendal Miller
Technology Manager
Kendal has been with Shakti since 2013 and started in Accounting and Payroll, She has over the years moved towards providing technology support and making sure all Corporate and property level technology is updated and security is in place to overcome any potential cyber threats.
Cory Brown
Facilities Manager
Cory has over 10 years of experience in the construction and facilities management. He coordinates with individual properties to ensure maintenance programs are followed. He also manages property renovations and implementations of product improvement plans.
